We are off and running in 2013 and it's no looking back. This year I believe God is stirring up Believers to engage in soul-winning like never before. We know from (Mathew 28:18-20) "The Great Commission" has always been the heart of God. He's not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance. This is the work of the ministry. Not just the preachers in the pulpit, but every Believer has been given this responsibility. Many don't realize it simply because they haven't been taught that this has been commanded by God. I must confess that I have not properly emphasized it at the Church I Pastor. However, things have certainly changed. This has become a top priority and focus at the Flowing Waters. We must win the lost.
We not only are emphasizing this at Church, but our crusade ministry is putting focus on soul-winning. In 2013 as we are planning and preparing for the crusades we want to impact every area that we go by seeing souls saved and added to the local Churches. We are also planning to plant another campus in our area in 2013. The entire goal is to reach as many with the gospel as possible.
I want to share a very special need that we currently have. In 2012 while conducting a tent crusade, I crossed paths with Apostle Brian Young from the Eastern part of NC. He is a mighty man of God, who travels internationally preaching the gospel and making a major impact. He has been believing and trusting God for a tent. In one of his trips he discovered a great need for a medical facility. The vision is to have this facility under a tent. As he was sharing this vision during our crusade the Holy Spirit prompted me to sow our tent into his ministry for the use of the medical facility. I must say that it has always been a joy to give to the work of the Lord. Well, now we are in need of another tent. We certainly have seen God use a tent in many areas to bring people together to experience His awesome power. For many years we have traveled and conducted crusades under the tent and still have a mandate to continue. We have used the same equipment for many years and it certainly has been a blessing. But, it's time to upgrade. We are in need of another tent and some media equipment in order to be most effective in this ministry. I have been looking and researching to see the estimated cost of all that we need for the tent ministry. The estimated cost of all the upgrades will be $20,000.00. Discovering this was quite shocking. In fact, I must say that I even became a bit frustrated thinking on how this amount of funds would come in. I'm not a begging preacher nor do I pursue money in ministry. However, it requires money to conduct ministry.
Two nights ago the Holy Spirit said something to me that has caused a burst of faith to come in my spirit. He said, "receive what you believe." I was thinking on this need at the time. He said, "receive what you believe." So immediately I rose up and begin to thank Him that we have received the necessary funds for the upgrade. Then He said, "get the word out." The Lord meets needs through people. This is the first way that we are getting the word out concerning the upgrade. As a ministry we have positioned our faith and say that in the Name of Jesus the need is met. As you read this I believe He will do the rest. As He speaks, we obey. Just like sowing the tent to become a medical facility.

Saints on the Go
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
These verses contain what is commonly called "The Great Commission." If every Believer would take this as a commanded commission verses a sincere suggestion we would see a drastic change in our communities.
In the text we know that Jesus had already died and resurrected from the grave. The authority that Adam handed over to satan had been put back into the hands of Jesus. He had appeared to His Disciples where He was speaking to them on the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3)
This was part of that discourse. I'm going to put the conversation in my terms. Jesus was saying all authority, rights, jurisdiction in Heaven and in Earth is now mine. But, I'm going to have to leave you. If I don't the Holy Ghost won't be released to come and fill you. Without the Holy Ghost the Ministry of Jesus will not continue. It will cease when I leave. But, when I leave, I'm not going to leave you alone. The Father will send the Holy Ghost and He will empower you with the same ability that I have. When He gives you this power, be my witnesses!! This is your primary mission. Spread the good news of salvation to everyone, everywhere. As you go spreading this message of my Kingdom, heal the sick, cleanse the leper, cast out demons, freely you have received, freely give. Stay filled with the Holy Ghost!! He will lead you and when you give yourself away to others they will receive me!! I am the new you!!! (Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10; Gal. 2:20) The old you is dead, and has nothing to offer. The new you which is me is what's needed the most.
Go and make other followers of me by revealing my goodness through your life. The goodness of God leads to repentance. (Rom 2:4)
This is how I see the Great Commission.
Disciple making is the work of the ministry. We will talk about how to make disciples in another article.
The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray The Lord of the harvest that He would send forth laborers. (Mt. 9:37).

"Preparing For The Transferring of Wealth"
Wealth!! The very word wealth to many believers especially preachers seems so vain and inappropriate. But let's take a good look at this concept from a Biblical perspective. The Bible says in (Deuteronomy 8:18) "Thou shall remember the Lord thy God for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day."
God's Word says that He would give the power to get wealth. Now what is wealth? In this verse, wealth is "haiyl" which means a force, whether of men, means or resources that give strength, ability and power to accomplish any necessary thing.
Now I don't know about every body, but I see some very necessary things that need to be accomplished in this world. The corrupt world has no problem building night clubs, strip joints, and places to go drink spirits; but the Church has become a place where the preacher has to beg his people to give just to keep the lights turned on. I will try to constrain my tone but come on people, something is wrong with that picture!! Think about this a minute. I don't nor have I ever been a night club person. But in those places you will find state of the art sound and lighting, paid staff to keep the crowd controlled and calm, and a line outside the building an hour before opening just to get in the place. Plus they literally have to run every body out at closing time just so the staff can rest a while before doing the same thing again a few hours later.
Go inside some Church facilities you find sound equipment squeaking and sounding like you are in a barrel trying to tell a story, lights blinking off and on (not because they are strobe) but because they are so old but we just trying to get all we can out of it. Hey, it's a light bulb, they sell them at the dollar tree for all of you that have a problem with a quality lighting system. Staff and crowd control? Well, first of all there are no staff paid or volunteered because we don't care that much about the crowd, we just want to get our blessing and get out ASAP. Don't worry about the line out front before service. Be more concerned about the line of people walking in tipping a finger an hour after service started and leaving 30 minutes before it's over!!
Ok, I will stop right there, but I hope we get the scenario.
The Church is God's House!! If any facility should have state of the art equipment and people serving to create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere it should be the Church House.
Now please understand something, I just described only one scenario that reveals how a lot of Christians view wealth. The American media has criticized and persecuted most ministries that function totally opposite of what I have described. What's worse is a majority of Christians have agreed with secular media and have discredited the truth concerning wealth. I have never heard anyone criticize a Bill Gates or Warren Buffet for having their own airplane or jet. But let a traveling preacher purchase a jet to get him or her to their Divinely assigned place and the Church goes crazy!! If the preacher has a nice car or a nice house he must be a crook because God wouldn't endorse such a thing. Wrong!! God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. (Psalm 35:27) It is well pleasing to God to see His servants prospering. It brings Him pleasure. Because He is a rewarder to those that diligently seek Him.
So by now you probably have realized that I believe in being blessed and walking in the blessing that God has provided. But please understand, greed, the love of money, and the deceitfulness of riches are a harmful thing to His people. Great wealth and prosperity would absolutely kill some people. We have even seen this when people have won lottery money. Misusing finances, improper stewardship and immaturity has kept many Believers from advancing in wealth. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed. But for now I want to take a turn and look at wealth from a Biblical perspective. I want to make just a few observations for you to ponder and meditate upon.
God's will in Earth as it is in Heaven must be our prayer. The Earth doesn't belong to Satan. He has ruled in it for thousands of years as a deceptive thief. God promised His people through Abraham that He would give them all the land that they could see. (Gen.13:14,15) His will wasn't just to bless them with His presence and fellowship. His perfect will was and is to use them to possess what is rightfully His.
The Church is God's extension on Earth. What belongs to Him in the Earth must be possessed by His created people. Now I'm not a master at economics, but I have a great friend and a mentor named Bishop Marcus Benjamin that is. But I believe in the garden of Eden we see the origin of corrupt economics. God made Adam to rule and have dominion in the Earth, but through Satan's deception the exchange was made. He sold Satan his authority for what he thought was something good. It wasn't good. God said, don't eat of this fruit. (Gen. 2:17). Since then Satan has ruled and used that authority to corrupt and pervert and build a kingdom of darkness and death.
But Christ came as the last Adam with a three-fold purpose. 1. Redeem Man 2. Build His Church 3. Establish His Kingdom.
If we keep this three-fold purpose in order we will see a tremendous thing happen in the Earth. In fact, I will say prophetically that alignment is taking place. There are a remnant of people that have not given up or given in but are standing up and pressing in to see His Kingdom authority established again in the Earth.
Now again, it's only a remnant. That's why many will be deceived. Because they are looking for this huge, instantaneous transfer and activity that just blows our mind. That's not His plan. He has never had the masses to agree with His plan. But He has always had a reserve of people that could hear, discern and obey.
Now to connect this thought with wealth, you have to see the big picture. In order for the necessary things to be accomplished in the Earth we as Believers must have the right revelation and mindset concerning wealth.
I believe as we get closer to the Lord's return there will be a major invasion on the plans of the enemy. God is raising up a winning warriors generation. A people that will not give in to the religious mindset of poverty. A people that will walk in the revelation of divine wealth with a heavenly assignment.
The Lord has given me an assignment to preach this and declare this over His people. He has also given me specific instructions that I will share in a moment.
I need to prophesy to people right now; you will begin to have a vision and a plan that will bring you out of poverty and into the arena of wealth. You will have wisdom behind your years to even create and invent solutions to present problems. The demand for the solution and divine wisdom to create the answer or the supply will be (Deut. 8:18) in acton. There will be an increase of bold authority in the pulpit. Not tyranny but skillful artisans of the Word of God that will break the stronghold of poverty that hovers over the people. There will be an increase in obedient giving. I hear the Lord saying that we have even grieved Him by limiting our giving to a tithe. We are not bound by the law. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. (Rom. 8:2) Decay and death has mingled with your liberty to cause you to distrust and disobey Him with your giving. This shall be broken as you hear this and a new level of liberty shall flow into your life. You will no longer despise the receiving of the offering but will become an example to others to the Way of the Lord. You shall no longer hold on to what I have ask for, but shall scatter it as seed and you shall increase. Your liberality in your sowing shall make you fat with my blessing says the Lord. Praise God!! Lord I bless your Name!!!
The wealth of the wicked will come into the hands of the people that are preparing for the transfer.
(3John 2) "Beloved, I would above all things that thou amy prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." Divine wealth and prosperity has little to do with money initially. It all starts in the soul of the Believer. That's the area that has to be renewed by the Word daily. Soul is the mind, will and emotions.
We have to get this area in line with our spirit man, then we shall see the manifested blessing.
(Ephesian 1:3) Declares we are already blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places. We have it already in our spirit. His Kingdom is in us. We must sync our soul with our spirit in order to see the manifested blessing. To borrow my Spiritual father's quote: we need a "MIND MIGRATION."
For now, spend time speaking His Word over your life, family, Church and Nation. Renew your thinking to a Biblical manner not one that is out of line with Scripture.

The Necessity of Spiritual Fatherhood
1 Corinthians 4:15
For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
It could be correctly stated that the Church in Corinth was a very gifted Church. They were tongue talking, prophesying, giving words at every possible opportunity. Now that isn't a bad thing necessarily. However, in Paul's writing to this Church we gain a great deal of insight. His teaching is primarily focused around the functionality of the gathering of the Saints.
We all love or rather should love the gathering together of the Saints. The scripture says, (Hebrews 10:25) "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together." In plain country talk, the people of God should love having some Church!! As for me and my house, we love having Church. We love Praising and Worshipping the King of Glory. We love looking into the mirror of the Glory on His face, and being consumed by that glory until we are transformed into that very image. (2Cor. 3:18).
But Paul takes an interesting path in His teaching. The Church at Corinth had no problem having Church. In fact, they would be considered in our day a real charismatic, vibrant group of folk. The problem however exist in the proper protocol in the public assembly. You see, Church isn't just a gathering of people. There is a difference between an audience and a congregation. The audience is a gathering of various kinds of people for a short lived attraction. The Church is the gathering of the Saints for the worshipping of the King. An audience is a crowd. The Church is a family. An audience is a gathering. The Church is a fellowship. An audience is a heap of stones. The Church is a temple. The ordained Men and Women of God are not called to build or gather an audience but to build His Church.
Any gifted, coarse or worldly person can attract an audience; only a person given totally over to the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost can build a Church.
So here we start seeing the problem in the Church of Corinth. I should stop and also interject that we see a parallel problem in the 21st century Church as well.
They gathered, they were gifted, they were excited, they were enriched by Him in all knowledge; so they came behind in no gift. Wow!! This looks like the most happening place in town!! These are those unreligious radical rascals!!! Just what everyone today are looking to hook up to. So what's the problem Pastor Marty? Thanks for the question!!
1. THEY WERE A GROUP OF BACKBITING, DIVISIVE DISPUTERS

These folk that were so enriched that they came behind in no gifts were actually very shallow in their maturity level. In (1Cor.3) the Apostle says, he couldn't even talk to them on a spiritual level at all. He said, my communication was actually on a carnal level. Why? They had no understanding of spiritual growth. They got saved, filled, and flaky!!
In order to get his message across the Apostle had to use language that wasn't even spiritual. Sound familiar? There are seminars being taught all over America today on how to communicate the way the Apostle Paul did in Corinth. Hey America!!! LISTEN!!! This was a rebuke not a method.
It's time to grow up spiritually. How? Quit eating the worlds fruit and start feasting on the Eternal Word of God.
I could share several more points of interest concerning this matter, but I want to sum it up here with what I believe was the real underlying problem with the whole Church.
It's found in our opening text. (1Cor. 4:15) "For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers."
To preserve the integrity of the text, we must say that the ten thousand instructors were not a literal number of instructors. The Apostle was saying you folks have way too many people telling you to do this and that and no one birthing real spiritual growth.
We must be guarded against this activity. This is a time that many false teachers and false prophets will surface to offer instructions that will sound right, feel right and even be accurate occasionally. But BEWARE!!! The motive is totally corrupt.
THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING A BELIEVER CAN DO IS IDENTIFY HIS/HER SPIRITUAL FATHER.
A father will nurture, guide, discipline and pour into your life that will result in spiritual growth and maturity.
Always remember any preacher can get a word. But fathers are seed planters. Seed produces after its kind. A father will pray for those under his charge and plant proper seed for specific results. Anyone can deliver a bible lesson, but only a father can plant the engrafted Word.
In the 21st Century we have a two-fold problem.
1. Men with the fathering assignment that are sitting dormant with a bag of seed by there seat.
REASONS:
-intimidated by the assignment
-improper mentoring that has given them no direction
-too selfish to reproduce themselves, due to fear of there own importance
2. Believers that refuse to seek out and submit to their God-given spiritual father
REASONS:
-this message is not being preached or demonstrated nearly enough
-the 21st century Church has learned short-cuts to build large
organizations, fancy buildings, raise lots of money, pack out
multi services; and they go home entertained BUT EMPTY!
-submission to spiritual authority is a curse word to people today
**Burger King has spoiled the Church. We have drive through services. In fact you don't even have to assemble watch it from the Web.
And you can have it your way. In fact, 21st century modernized leadership principles have shifted from self denial, cross bearing and Christ following, to learn how todays people think and live and build a Church to accommodate them.
What's worse is we still expect the world to change!!
I believe it can and will. But the true Prophets of God and Leaders that are assigned as fathers must rise up and take our stand. I say let us rise. Let us rise, let us rise.

For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
It could be correctly stated that the Church in Corinth was a very gifted Church. They were tongue talking, prophesying, giving words at every possible opportunity. Now that isn't a bad thing necessarily. However, in Paul's writing to this Church we gain a great deal of insight. His teaching is primarily focused around the functionality of the gathering of the Saints.
We all love or rather should love the gathering together of the Saints. The scripture says, (Hebrews 10:25) "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together." In plain country talk, the people of God should love having some Church!! As for me and my house, we love having Church. We love Praising and Worshipping the King of Glory. We love looking into the mirror of the Glory on His face, and being consumed by that glory until we are transformed into that very image. (2Cor. 3:18).
But Paul takes an interesting path in His teaching. The Church at Corinth had no problem having Church. In fact, they would be considered in our day a real charismatic, vibrant group of folk. The problem however exist in the proper protocol in the public assembly. You see, Church isn't just a gathering of people. There is a difference between an audience and a congregation. The audience is a gathering of various kinds of people for a short lived attraction. The Church is the gathering of the Saints for the worshipping of the King. An audience is a crowd. The Church is a family. An audience is a gathering. The Church is a fellowship. An audience is a heap of stones. The Church is a temple. The ordained Men and Women of God are not called to build or gather an audience but to build His Church.
Any gifted, coarse or worldly person can attract an audience; only a person given totally over to the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost can build a Church.
So here we start seeing the problem in the Church of Corinth. I should stop and also interject that we see a parallel problem in the 21st century Church as well.
They gathered, they were gifted, they were excited, they were enriched by Him in all knowledge; so they came behind in no gift. Wow!! This looks like the most happening place in town!! These are those unreligious radical rascals!!! Just what everyone today are looking to hook up to. So what's the problem Pastor Marty? Thanks for the question!!

Prophetic Word for 2012
Many have believed and received prophetic words for a revival to break out. I believe this is the season of the movement. The following message was sent to me through an email. Approximately 45 minutes prior to receiving this email I booked two different tent meetings in two separate areas in South Carolina. All I can say is WOW!!! I'm ready, set now let's go. Read the following and allow the Holy Ghost to connect you with this movement.

Ia Hear the Train a Comin'
Recently, I interviewed Bob Jones at his home in North Carolina. Bob is a seasoned prophet, whose prophecies have spanned four decades. Like Daniel in the Bible, he has not only interpreted dreams but has on numerous occasions told people the dreams they dreamed. He has an amazing track record, even predicting a comet that that would come on May 7, 1983, unpredicted by scientists, on the day a 21-day fast and city prayer meeting began in Kansas City to pray for revival. The sign was given to encourage the intercessors and to confirm the prophetic promise that revival would surely come to America. After the 21-day fast in 1983, Bob Jones had a dream and told Mike Bickle that revival was not going to break out immediately as they thought but there was an "appointed time" for America, and when God said, "It's time," it would not be one day late.
Many prophetic voices, including Bob Jones, are proclaiming "The appointed time has come."
The Glory Train
In September 2009, Bob Jones had a revelatory encounter where he was sitting on a train. He asked the conductor, "What is this train?" The conductor said it was the "Glory Train" and he gave Bob a capsule that was shaped like an egg.
The egg had new life in it. It had the beginning and end of time in it. He asked the conductor, "When can I open this egg and when will this train arrive?" He said the time was within the egg and the egg will be opened in 2012! The time capsule had the wisdom of the ages in it; from the beginning to the new beginning.
Bob said that we've come to the end of the old and the birthing of the new in 2012, and the glory of God will fall upon the churches.
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory," says the LORD Almighty. "The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine," declares the Lord Almighty. "The glory of this present house will be greater than the former house," says the LORD Almighty. Haggai 2:6-9
Ancient Wells of Revival Being Uncapped
There have been several prophetic affirmations that ancient wells of revival are soon to be uncapped. One of those wells that I believe will be uncapped is that of the Latter Rain Revival and the Voice of Healing of the 1950s. That revival saw many miraculous healings and huge tent meetings. William Branham, Paul Cain, Oral Roberts, A.A. Allen, Jack Coe, T.L. Osborne, Gordon Lindsay, and many others, were used greatly during that era of time.
A friend of mine recently had a dream with the late Jill Austin in it. Jill was a traveling minister who loved the Holy Spirit and had an accurate prophetic ministry. In the dream, Jill was passionately trying to get a message to those in the dream, but the dreamer could not hear the message that Jill was trying to convey. Around the same time, another intercessor saw a vision of Jill Austin. In this vision, Jill was passionately trying to get a message to the Church, but the intercessor could not hear the words.
After learning of these two experiences involving Jill Austin, I was doing research on uncapping wells of revival on the internet when I came across a transcript of a prophecy that Jill had given in 2004. I believe this is the message that she would want us to remember at this time. The following is an excerpt from that transcript:
All of a sudden, what I kept seeing was these tents. And the Lord said, "Tent of glory! Tent of meeting!" He says, "I am going to tabernacle. I am going to tabernacle." What I saw was this tent of glory! Tent of glory! Tent of glory! And I kept seeing like a tent city.
I kept seeing a warehouse over this tent and this warehouse had body parts in it. This warehouse had body parts! It was body parts of the miraculous! Body parts of the miraculous! What I kept seeing was new hearts coming down. I kept seeing new hearts coming down. I kept seeing new legs coming down. The Lord says that you are even going to be seeing crippling diseases being healed. He says, "I am going to open blind eyes. I am going to open deaf ears. I am going to deal with MS. I am going to deal with insanities."
But I also feel like the Lord said, "Get ready! I'm going to release profound new kinds of visitations! I am going to take you into that smoky, black realm of God." What I kept seeing is the fear of the Lord!
What I kept seeing was this warehouse, this warehouse of miracles. But then what I kept seeing was radical realms of visitation. What I kept seeing was also a releasing, where it's almost like the Lord says, "You are going to go back and uncap ancient wells of tent revivals." Tent revivals. What I saw was The Voice of Healing.
What I saw was tent meetings. And the other thing I kept seeing was circuit riders. I felt like the Lord is going to [set apart] a group of men and women and they are going to catch the fire and they are going to go into beachheads; they are going to set up tents out on fields. People are going to come because there is going to be so much healing; it's going to be like the old time healing days. It is going to be sparked. There is going to be a catalytic spark.
He is going to start to birth it. The Lord says, "There is a new anointing, and its tabernacling." It's an anointing of the "Tent of the Meeting." It's an anointing of Houses of Prayer on the move. It's going to be wheels of revelation moving with the glory. It's like a moving throne. It's like a moving place of glory. I feel like the Lord says, "I'm on the move. My glory is on the move. It's going to look very different. I want you to be hungry. But I want you to be ones that go into whole communities."
The Glory and the Great End Time Harvest
I believe that 2012 will be a year when we will begin to experience the glory realm and the great end time harvest will begin. Believers will begin to "shine" after experiencing the glory of God manifesting in their midst.
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:3
Apostolic preaching, with signs confirming the spoken Word, will cause many to turn to Jesus. I believe what we will experience will even surpass what was experienced in the Latter Rain Revival and the Voice of Healing era.
LORD, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2
Our promised day of visitation is at hand. All the pain, difficulty and hardships of this past season were preparing us for this new season. Out of our brokenness will come fullness. God is going to turn it all around and make everything beautiful in His time. It's time to get ready to board the glory train. I hear the train a comin'.

Spiritual Authority: Pathway to Promotion or Doorway to Death
Spiritual authority is one of the greatest concepts in the Bible. However, it is the most misunderstood and abused concept in the Church. This should not be. The Bible is clear concerning spiritual authority. In the King James Version of the Bible, the word power is used for authority. In fact, there are several greek words for power; In Luke 10:19 we see this example. "Behold, I give unto you power (exousia) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (dunamis) of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Exousia equals authority. Dunamis equals ability. So actually the text is teaching that believers have been given authority over all of the ability of the enemy. Understand it's not ability verses ability, nor authority verses authority. It's our divinely delegated authority exercised over all of the ability of the enemy. So if we walk and stand in spiritual authority it will cripple the enemy's attempt to destroy your life.
Now, that's one aspect of authority. Another and vital aspect of authority has to do with authority in leadership. This is where the Church has issues. There are many Spirit filled Christians that love the first aspect I mentioned. They relish in the demonstration of the anointing. Casting out demons, healing and flowing in the gifts are a high priority to many in the Church. Please don't misunderstand me, I too place high priority in the gifts of the Spirit and flowing in the anointing. In fact, those that know me could attest that I'm fanatical about the move of the Spirit. My Bishop, (R.Christopher Brown III) calls me the "revivalist." I'm humbled by the comment, but must agree with the assessment. It's not a title for me. It's what I live for and believe. My wife (Scarlett) a prophetic psalmist and I spent 9 years traveling full-time in 3 Nations preaching city-wide crusades, church revivals, tent revivals and conferences living in the atmosphere of revival. So anything less than that frustrates me. The Church should live in the revival atmosphere. I want planning to write about this but bear with me a second. Where are the shouting Saints hiding? What happened to the Believers prayer meeting? What's more important than your appointment with God in His House? Some folks take off work to keep a Dr's appointment, but try to find something to do in order not to attend Church. WHERE ARE GOD'S PEOPLE? Somebody say Amen Please!!!!
Some may think I just sidetracked, but the crisis within the Church that has caused complacency and stagnation exist in the area of authority. I'm referring to leadership authority.
Allow me to make a few observations concerning this crisis.
First of all, in many Churches authority is misplaced. Deacons don't run the church. Sorry but it's a fact.
The rich family that gives large amounts of money and promises to make good things happen don't run the church.
The family that had a grandparent that gave the land and paid off the note don't run the church.
The Church belongs to God. Christ is building the church. When Christ ascended up from descending, He gave gifts to men. (Ephesians 4) The Church is the Body of Christ and each person planted in a local church makes up a member of that body.
Here's the problem!! We have Church attendants and not Body members. When the Church functions as the Body there will be proper authority and submission. My hand can only move when a message from my head gets to my hand. Neurons sent through my CNS to nerve endings causing muscle contraction that produces movement. A proper message from the head will produce a proper movement from my hand.
Lack of submission causes miscommunication and improper movement. That's why people can say "I'm going to leave this church, or I'm going to do this whether you agree or not Pastor because I feel lead." That's a hand out of order that will eventually pick up something that will harm or even kill it.
We need to position ourselves under proper authority. Listen Church folks. God set your pastor in that House for your benefit. Be submissive and you will grow. The anointing on your pastor will flow freely to every one that is submitted and respects that authority. There is so much more that could be said, but enough for now. Just remember, SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IS EITHER A PATHWAY TO PROMOTION OR A DOORWAY TO DEATH.

Are we really walking in the spirit?
Paul said in Roman 8:14 "for as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God." He said again in Galatians 5:17 "for the flesh lust against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh, and these are contrary to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would." The following are 10 questions that can help you determine whether you are led by the Spirit or by the flesh.
1. How is your worship? Do you truly engage in worship or just ride along with the song?
2. How well do you get along with others that are different than you? I'm not talking about morality differences. (race, personality, etc.)
3. Does it talk you a long time to get over the fault of another.
4. How much time away from Church do you spend in personal devotions?
5. Do you genuinely enjoy your time in Church? (Heb. 10:25)
6. Does it ever frustrate you when Pastors, Evagelist, etc. take time to talk about teach the importance of giving prior to receiving an offering?
7. Does it ever bother you when someone does what you do better than you in the place where you you do it?
8. Are you quick to argue when you know you are right?
9. Can you keep a secret? (1Pet. 4:8)
10. In the last 5 days how many people have you personally presented with the the Gospel message?
If you scored poorly it may be that you are too led by the flesh verses the Spirit. I want to encourage you to allow the Spirit of God to lead you daily in everything that you do.
